Using Change Broadcast

Will recipients see who else received the broadcast?

No. change broadcast emails are sent individually, so recipients cannot see any other email addresses.

Can I change the wording of the broadcast email?

The broadcast email content is automatically generated with:

key SmPC change information
a link to the product on emc

This wording cannot currently be customised. If you'd like editing options in the future, please speak to your Account Manager or Datapharm Servicedesk.

Can I send unlimited change broadcasts?

Yes, there is no limit to the number of email addresses you can send a change broadcast to.
However, as the Data Controller, you must ensure you have a valid legal basis (Consent or Legitimate Interest) for emailing recipients.

Can I use change broadcast for non‑SmPC communications?

Not at the moment. change broadcast is designed specifically for SmPC change notifications.
For other communication types, please use your normal tools in line with your internal governance.
If you’d like the feature extended to other document types (e.g., PILs, RMMs), please speak to your Account Manager or Datapharm Servicedesk.
