Overview Report

 

The following Metrics are displayed on the Overview Report:

 

Visits    

A visit is any time a visitor reaches one of your product pages and ends either after 30 minutes of inactivity or if the visitor leaves for more than 30 minutes.    


Pageviews

This is the number of times users view a page. 

  • A pageview is counted when a page from your company’s portfolio is loaded by a browser.  
  • This covers all page views. If a user refreshes the page or navigates away from the page and returns, these are all counted as additional page views.  

Unique Pageviews   

The pageviews to your product pages that are generated by the same user during the same visit.    

  • Each unique pageview is combined to make the total.

Page Views per Visit   

This is the average number of pages viewed by a user per visit to your product pages.  


Average Visit Duration  

This is the average length of time a user spends on your product pages.  


New vs. Returning Visitors  

New visitors are those users that have not visited the emc before the time period specified (on your time selection).

Returning visitors will have made at least one visit to the emc previously.  

  • This is determined by whether Google Analytics can detect cookies, which indicate previous visits. If Google cannot detect a cookie one will be set for future recording (unless the user has disabled cookies in their personal browser preferences).  

How are Visits trending by time   

This shows the number of visits over the time period determined by the date filter, along with the values for the previous period.   

  • If you hover over a dot on the graph, the values for that data point will be displayed.  

How are Page Views trending by time

This shows the number of page views over the time period determined by the date filter, along with the values for the previous period.   

  • If you hover over a dot on the graph, the values for that data point will be displayed.  

Engagement Duration

This shows the Engagement (session) duration in seconds, presented in time length segments.

  • A session lasts as long as there is continued activity.   

Most popular Products

The ranking of your products from highest to lowest, in terms of number of visits, with the associated percentage value.
