How Can I View My Data On The dm+d Database

Once the NHSBSA have approved your emc med data (dm+d) submission and the effective date has passed, the NHSBSA will update the dm+d database.

  • The NHSBSA add new data to the dm+d database on a daily basis, as they approve submissions.
  • The NHSBSA only release this information to emc med data on a weekly basis. So once a submission has been approved by the NHSBSA, there can be a delay of up to 5 working days before it can be viewed on emc med data.

Product Search

  • Go to the emc med data website, located at https://meddata.medicines.org.uk/.
  • Click on the search box at the top of the page,
  • Enter your product name (trade name or generic name) or company name,
  • Click on a product card to see the detailed dm+d entry for your chosen product.

Please note 📝

The dm+d database is an extensive database and includes not only your available products, but also discontinued products, clinical trial products, and imports.

Once a product has been assigned a unique code, the entry cannot be deleted. This means that products which are not currently available can still be seen.

Discontinued products are hidden by default in emc med data searches but can be enabled using the filter on the left hand side of the page. These are then highlighted with red 'discontinued' text.
