Frequently Asked Questions

How recent is the data in emc analytics?

The data is refreshed in Google Analytics once a day and will be reflected in emc analytics the following day. This is due to the volume of user traffic to the emc.  The data will be available within 24-48 hours of the users’ visit to the emc for all the reports, except the RMM Downloads report.

The RMM Downloads report is updated weekly on a Monday morning, showing all the data available up to the day before.

How much historical data can I see in emc analytics?

emc analytics provides Product Name data from August 25th 2020 onwards. Multiple years’ worth of data is available for higher-level metrics that are not filtered by Product Name.

This applies to all the reports, except the RMM Downloads report. The RMM Downloads report shows the current month’s data plus the 12 previous months’ data.

What is sampling?

Due to the volume of user traffic to the emc, Google Analytics will sometimes provide sampled data, and this will be reflected in the reports shown in emc analytics.

The sampling rate varies, with sampling generally higher when viewing a greater period of time in the reports – for example, viewing data over a month will introduce more sampling than viewing data over a week. Sampled data is proportional to total data available.

There is no sampling present in the RMM Downloads report.
