Effective Date

The Effective Date is the date on which your submission should be added to the dm+d database or, for discontinuations, the date on which your submission should be removed from the database. The data will then be shown on emc med data during the following 5-7 working days.

Select the date using the drop down menus when creating a new product. You cannot enter a retrospective Effective Date. 

The NHSBSA need to receive your submission 2 weeks before the effective date to guarantee that the change will be live on the dm+d browser by your date. emc med data (dm+d) will warn you if there are less than 2 weeks to your effective date.

The NHSBSA will process your submission as quickly as possible and will prioritise submissions on the effective date and then by the date of submission.
